Featuring Jane Thrailkill, Matthew Taylor, and Tyler Curtain
Hosted by Ben Mangrum
Produced by Sam Bednarchik

18 April 2014

Professors Jane Thrailkill, Matthew Taylor, and Tyler Curtain discuss the future of graduate studies in the humanities. Jane Thrailkill studies pre-1900 American literature, especially responses to political, social, and technological disruptions in the aftermath of the Civil War.  Matthew Taylor studies the intersections between critical theory (especially philosophy of science, posthumanism, ecocriticism, and race theory) and late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century literature. Tyler Curtain studies critical theory and philosophy with a special interest in science fiction and fantasy.
